The Golden Lancers are a Honky-Tonk band hailing from the upstate of South Carolina that pride themselves on remaining loyal to the roots of country music. Drawing inspiration from the classic country of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, with a touch of southern rock thrown in, they are a true throwback in the modern era. With steel guitars and telecasters as the backbone, their music harkens back to that of the early Honky-Tonk bands, producing a traditional sound with a slightly modern spin. Their clever and catchy lyrics are complemented by rich harmonies and walking basslines, topped off with roaring chicken picking that give the Golden Lancers an edge not common in this day and age.

 

The Golden Lancers are very intentionally not the country music you hear on the radio in 2021, and are very dedicated to keeping the spirit of classic country and Honky-Tonk music alive.
